Where is Ends and Means in the development process?

Right now the game is in its playtesting phase. This year Sara Adyms and I are running a series in her setting, Sanctum, where men and women from all periods of history find themselves stranded in a mysterious anachronistic city. Think LOST, only the plane that crashed was human history.

Sanctum runs biweekly on Saturdays from January 2007 until we call it quits, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We run the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

If you'd like to check up on our current playtesting thoughts, take a peek at the playtest blog.

This sounds awesome. Can I playtest?

I'd love additional playtesters! Of course, I can't expect anyone to make a serious playtest offer before they've read the rules. So here's my current idea:

If you can do the work of organizing a LARP based on a new system, e-mail me at tell me what makes you curious about Ends and Means. I'll e-mail back some questions to get to know you; and then I'll send you a draft copy of the rules to read.

If you like what you see, I'll work with you to help get your playtest off the ground.

If you don't think this system will work for you, no problem -- just let me know, plus any constructive critism you can provide. That's useful data for me too!
